Great Kayak Trip Today in the lovely Rio de la Montana Estuary in Nasara. Kenneth was an enthusiastic,  young, friendly, helpful and knowledgeable Guide. No Crocodiles but lots of wonderful Shore and song birds and plants all of which he could identify. Highly recommended when you visit Nosara. Easy booking. Give them a try!

Many thanks to Rio for 2 excellent tours to the Nosara Reserve (54 species, 2 guests) and Mala Noche waterfall (32 species, 3 guests).  We had good weather on both days (no rain, very little mosquitoes).  Rio was fun and friendly and was an extra set of eyes, often seeing local/skulky birds before we did (ie: banded wren, grey cowled wood rail) and he led us safely through both areas.  The Nosara Reserve terrain was a bit up and down at times (hiking shoes ideal, I was in short rain boots which was fine) and the Mala Noche Falls was flatter but required crossing shallow creeks up to my calves in some areas (my water shoes worked well).  Rio was excited to help us find lifers and targets and brought us to some smaller local spots along the way, like Calle Aeropuerto.  If you're a birder, call Rio.  Photos are a mix from both sites. We had a great time wandering through the woods with our wonderful guide, Alex. It was a relaxing and enlightening treasure hunt filled with informative tidbits about local flora and fauna. Not only did we get the scientific names and explanations for parts of this amazing ecosystem, we got to hear the local histories and uses of the wildlife we saw. If you plan on being in the Nosara area, this tour is a must! My boyfriend and I had the pleasure of participating in the gator tour in early June. The scenery and wildlife was unbelievable! We were able to see so many different species of birds close up as well as crabs and other wildlife. Our tour guide Alex made it that much better! Alex was very friendly and personable and navigated us through the water. Alex is super knowledgeable about the surrounding area and wildlife and made the tour very relaxing and fun.
